Almost every morning squirrels run across the roof of my cabin. They search for hassle nuts.

I feed them. Once I had what seemed like 20 little squirrels feeding outside my door during the winter.

This is a red squirrel, I have greys in the forest. Part of me wishes the reds would return. I love their dynamic movement. Their spirit is so full of life.

Squirrels teach me agility, resilience, and tenacity. I love feeding them each morning, and I enjoy watching them play outside.
