ART STATEMENT

My work reflects the ineffable force of life that I am exposed to daily, living in the wild.

I create because I have to. There is nothing else for me, but to allow the energy of life to flow through these fingertips.

The forest speaks, and that voice echoes through each brushstroke. I do it for all who live here. The tiniest species is vital, and the majesty of the largest is equal in importance. I paint for them, all of them. I tell their undiluted story for those living in society.

The unseen worlds out here play a central role in everything I do. I get visions, dreams, and whispers that tell secrets of life, death, and everything in between. My painting honours the magick of reality, the uncapturable essence of the cosmos.

Living this way may be hard, but it’s the most honest responsibility I have found. Yet, this forest gives me more than any normal comfort a city life could conjure.

So I do it all for this sprawling mass of life. To protect, to guard, and to care for worlds upon worlds.

That’s why everything my art creates goes back into the soil, the trees, plants, insects, and animals.

My life is theirs, and theirs is mine. We are one, and this is what my art explores.
