PENCIL & INK WILDLIFE SKETCH #1

This sketch is practice for a mural I got commissioned for a garden wall in Bradford on Avon. I'm so excited by this piece.

The bird is a Cattle Egret. These Herons are so dynamic and beautiful.

I'm going to sketch several of these until the client loves what's going on her garden wall.

Murals are a joy for me because I love painting on huge canvases.

There is something so ancient about Herons. This gorgeous Egret portrays that primordial wisdom of patience.

A patience that waits for fish to come close, before snatching them and flying high.
