WATERCOLOUR WILDLIFE SKETCH #1
I loved sketching this wild stag. I used a combination of pencil, watercolours, masking fluid and ink.
The way I see the world is full of magic. Everything is in motion.
Living off-grid gives me an intimate experience of wildlife.Â
Just the other day, I saw three beautiful foxes running. They left behind a brave deer who had been fending them off.

Nearby a badger looked in curious suspense.
There are so many stories of life, death and sex in the forest. Everything in bound by the unseen interconnected force of nature.
This sketch is practice. I am refining my illustrative style. I'm using marks to tell a story and communicate a feeling through portraiture.
The feeling that comes through is resilience. The quiet peace in knowing whatever comes my way, I will endure.
